Shortly before David passed away in hospital we we chatting about the early days on one of my visits and David told me about his train spotting days in London. He and his mates used to travel up to Charing Cross - I think it was - and the boys used to walk across the tracks to get to the other platforms. I don’t think you would want to do that there nowadays somehow.
